Fitch Ink’s 2025 resolutions will redefine our agency for years to come
By Stephane Fitch | Fitch Ink Founder and CEO
I’ve been accused on a few occasions of being overenthusiastic. So I’m going to apply as much equanimity as I can muster as I talk about Fitch Ink’s plans for 2025.
But put very simply, this is going to be our biggest, boldest year ever, one that will redefine our agency for many years to come.
We will be investing in ourselves this year, at a scale we’ve never seen before, driven by the creativity and boundless energy of the editors, writers, designers, marketers and managers who work here. Think of these as something bigger than New Year’s resolutions.
We’ll begin work on a major book project. Books are a big deal, and over the years, Fitch Ink’s clients have asked for a lot of advice about prospective books. We put them through a process we call Book Therapy, where we examine their ideas in depth. This is the year, we’ve cracked the code on going from Book Therapy to book published. I can’t wait to tell the world more but for now, know that we believe our first book will make a significant impact on the arts world.
We’ll start a thought leadership column. This is something I’ve wanted to do since I started Fitch Ink 14 years ago. We work on some of the world’s most advanced thought leadership for some of the world’s biggest, boldest companies. This year we going to use some of that skill in-house with a regular column on LinkedIn where we’ll talk about entrepreneurship and other learnings from the frontlines of a growing business.
We’ll expand our multimedia, video and animation work. Most of the content we produce for our clients is written. But over the years, Fitch Ink has done plenty of multimedia storytelling including podcasts, videos, websites, animation and infographics. I often say, in Fitch Ink’s three-stripe logo, each of the stripes stands for one of our specialties: writing, strategy and multimedia storytelling. We are looking forward to helping our current clients, and new ones, expand their visual storytelling efforts in the year to come.
We’ll begin to double the size of our client base. They say it takes five years to truly, deeply understand the business you’re in. I guess I’m slow, because it took me almost 15. After a decade in the business, we have hit on a formula for building organized, creative teams that help our clients enlighten and enchant their most valuable audiences. This year, my goal is to double that work through new clients. The world needs more honest, sophisticated storytelling, and I know Fitch Ink’s teams can deliver.
We’ll host a Rumpus in San Francisco this summer. Fitch Ink is a modern creative agency, with world-class editors sprinkled across North America and Europe. Our clients love that about us, and we’re proud of the fact that we have no central office. You can get way more work done using work-collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams, Slack, AirTable and Google’s work tools. But you know what? Sometimes the Zoom meetings start to feel inadequate. So a bunch of us are going to get together IRL in the Bay Area this summer. I can’t wait.
So yeah, 2025 is going to be transformative for Fitch Ink — and maybe for you, since you’re reading this. Are you in charge of brand storytelling for a company that needs help from a world-class agency? Reach out and tell me about your plans and challenges. And if you’re a world-class editor, writer, designer or multimedia storyteller who wants to work with us, I hope you’ll do the same.
